Common House Spiders
Most common spider most often seen indoors. Yellow and brown in color and have a dirty white abdomen with several dark stripes that meet at an angle. They create a tangled web to try and catch their prey. This type of spider is a nuisance pest and poses no threat to humans. They do not thrive in modern homes because of low humidity and few insects for food.
Jumping Spiders
Usually black but can be brown, tan, or gray with pale markings on their backs. Active during the daytime and prefer the sunshine. They have great vision and are excellent jumpers.
A jumping spider’s bite is not poisonous, and they aren’t considered dangerous pests. They can be found in homes around windows and doors where you will find sunlight.
